Unitree G1 is designed as an affordable yet high-performance platform for university research, AI laboratories, and development companies. It is ideal for testing imitation learning algorithms, deep reinforcement learning research, and the development of smart service applications. Due to its compact size and advanced sensors, it is also excellent for simulations in smart manufacturing.

Unitree G1

Umetna inteligenca ikona Artificial Intelligence and UnifoLM Model

G1 is not just a robot; it is a physical avatar for advanced AI models. It is powered by the "World Model" concept based on UnifoLM (Unified Robot Large Model). The robot is capable of rapidly learning new skills through demonstrations and simulations. This opens a new era of intelligent agents that can adapt to unforeseen situations and constantly improve their motor skills via OTA (Over-The-Air) updates.

Unitree G1

Načini ikona Superhuman Mobility and Range of Motion

Unitree G1 exceeds the limitations of human biomechanics. With extremely large joint movement angles (e.g., knees up to 165°, hips with rotation -30~+170°), the robot can fold into an extremely compact shape for transport or perform acrobatic movements such as standing up from a lying position and torso rotation. The platform offers from 23 to 43 degrees of freedom (DoF), depending on the configuration, allowing for exceptionally fluid movement.

FAQs

Get familiar with frequently asked questions regarding UNITREE robots.

Which robot model is best suited for industrial inspections and work on demanding terrain?

The choice depends on the specific environment and payload requirements. For the most demanding environments (water, dust, heavy terrain) and long-duration inspections, we recommend the Unitree B2 model, which features an IP67 rating, a payload capacity of over 40 kg, and exceptional autonomy. For lighter inspection tasks, research, or the development of AI algorithms, the AlienGo or Go2 models are excellent choices, offering a great balance of performance, agility, and price.

Do the robots support the integration of custom sensors and software (SDK/API)?

Yes, our robots (AlienGo, B2, Go2, H1, G1) are designed as open development platforms. They support high-level and low-level API interfaces (C/C++), allowing for complete control over the robot's movement. The robots are fully compatible with ROS (Robot Operating System) and ROS2. Additionally, they feature integrated standard interfaces (Ethernet, USB, HDMI) and power supplies (5V, 12V, 24V) for the easy connection of external LiDARs, cameras, GPS modules, or gas sensors.

How are service, spare parts, and technical support handled?

The specialized company LEGIT d.o.o. is responsible for overall technical support, regular maintenance, and servicing of these robotic platforms. Their goal is to ensure the shortest possible downtime for the equipment, which is a top priority for every customer. The duration of an individual service intervention depends on the nature of the technical issue and the current availability of specific spare parts in the global supply chain. Since this involves highly specialized technology, some components are sent directly to the manufacturer, which can prolong the repair time; however, customers are kept transparently informed of all steps and estimated timeframes throughout the process.

Can the robots operate in rain and dusty industrial plants?

It depends on the model. The Unitree B2 model is specifically built for extreme conditions and has an IP67 certificate, meaning it is resistant to dust and water (including short-term immersion). Other models (Go2, AlienGo, G1) have basic protection suitable for outdoor environments and easier field conditions but are not intended for direct exposure to heavy rain or water jets. Before purchase, we recommend checking your working environment so we can suggest the appropriate protection.

What are the possibilities for manipulation, and is it possible to mount a robotic arm on the robot?

Yes, on the larger platforms (primarily AlienGo and B2), it is possible to integrate the 6-axis Unitree Z1 robotic arm. This enables the execution of tasks such as opening doors, pressing buttons, collecting samples, or moving objects (up to 3 kg). The arm is powered directly from the robot and is programmatically integrated with the platform's movement, enabling mobile manipulation in space.

What is the battery autonomy, and is continuous use possible (24/7)?

Autonomy ranges between 2 and 5 hours, depending on the model and load (the Unitree B2 lasts up to 5 hours without a load). All models feature a fast battery replacement option, which enables practically uninterrupted operation with the use of additional battery sets. For autonomous patrols, automatic charging solutions (docking stations) are also being developed.

Do you offer the possibility of consultation and a demonstration of operation before purchase?

Unitree Robotics

"When technology comes to life."

Company History

Unitree Robotics (official company name is Hangzhou Yushu Technology Co., Ltd.) is not just another technology manufacturer. It is a company that has single-handedly broken the myth over the last decade that advanced robots are reserved only for the military and multi-billion dollar laboratories.

The company and the visionary behind the brand

The company was founded in 2016 in Hangzhou by Wang Xingxing. His journey began during his studies when he developed the XDog robot, which shocked the industry with its simple but effective design. Wang's philosophy was clear from the start: vertical integration. Unitree develops and manufactures its own motors, sensors, and controllers. This allows them full control over costs and the speed of innovation, which is unprecedented in this industry.

Key Milestones

Unitree's path is full of fast and aggressive moves:

  • 2016: Foundation of the company following the viral success of the XDog prototype.
  • 2017 (Laikago): Presentation of their first commercial quadruped, named after the space dog Laika. This was proof that a Chinese company could compete with Western titans.
  • 2021 (Go1): A key moment for the industry. They introduced the first "widely accessible" robot dog (priced at around $2,700), which was ten times cheaper than the competition at the time.
  • 2023 (H1): Entry into the world of humanoids. The H1 robot became one of the fastest and most stable humanoid robots in the world, capable of running and even backflipping.
  • 2024 (G1): Move towards mass adoption of humanoids. The G1 model was introduced as an "AI agent in physical form" with incredible mobility and a price point aimed at the wider market.

Present Day

Unitree is currently in a transition phase from a hardware manufacturer to an "Embodied AI" (embodied artificial intelligence) company. Their latest models use advanced machine learning (Reinforcement Learning), meaning that the robots do not move according to pre-written rules, but instead learn through trial and error to overcome obstacles, ice, stairs, and even physical attacks.
