What makes the SUV version so superior (compared to CITY)?

While both models share the prestigious "Mare" name, the SUV variant is significantly upgraded at key points to tackle rough terrain:

Brutal power and range: Instead of 80 Nm, the SUV model features an upgraded Bafang M410 motor with an exceptional 90 Nm of torque. This means significantly greater pulling power when climbing hills.

Drivetrain and braking system: The SUV model is equipped with an advanced 11-speed Tektro system (cassette a full 11-50T), allowing for high cadences even on the steepest climbs. For control on descents, a larger 180 mm brake disc has been installed on the rear wheel.

Mountain ground contact: Instead of city tires, the bike proudly sports real mountain tires, the Schwalbe Smart Sam 29x2.1, and the handlebar is wider and flatter for sportier and more stable handling on rough terrain.

Flexible Comtron battery for marathon adventures

Maximum power requires ample energy. That's why smart, Slovenian Comtron ELK smart battery, integrated into the frame tube, provides power. Depending on how far you want to explore, we offer three fully interchangeable capacities:

Choose between 520 Wh (15 Ah), a generous 700 Wh (20 Ah), or go "All-in" with an impressive 800 Wh (23 Ah). The battery can be easily unlocked and removed from the bike to be charged at home or in a hotel with the powerful Comtron 2A charger. A 2A standard charger is included with the option to upgrade to a 4A fast charger.

Off-road equipment: 29" wheels with Schwalbe Smart Sam

Front suspension is provided by robust SR Suntour NEX-E25 Coil 28'' suspension forks, while the rims bring a true mountain revolution to this segment. Instead of city dimensions, the Mare SUV is fitted with true, hybrid 29-inch MTB tires, Schwalbe SMART SAM (29x2.1).

The Smart Sam tire tread is legendary, offering a smooth ride on asphalt, but when you turn into mud and gravel, its side knobs grip the surface relentlessly. The rims are reinforced with 14G spokes (32 holes) and ready for rough loads.

Ready for expeditions with complete equipment

The riding position on the bike is more active for better steering control. This is made possible by the wide handlebar (Width: 700 mm, Sweep only 18°) and a sportily adjusted stem (R:35°, E:90). For contact, ergonomic Velo VLG-1505 grips and a VL-6574 saddle are integrated.

To enable immediate use for travel, the bike already features an integrated MIK Boost 29" rear rack ("Click and go") as standard, full waterproof protection with PVC mudguards, a strong 40mm kickstand, and a safety Satelite C19 LED front light and ECONO WD216 rear light.
