Exoskeleton VIGX Ant-H1 Pro

Wearable rehabilitation walking support: mechanical relief, a more controlled step, and increased endurance.

VIGX ANT-H1 PRO Exoskeleton | Free Trial

Advantages icon Clinical orientation: who is it for?

The VIGX Ant-H1 Pro exoskeleton is intended for elderly individuals and people with limited mobility who need additional mechanical support in the hip area while walking. It is suitable for age-related weakness, after injuries or surgeries, and for neurological conditions (e.g., after a stroke) where weakness in one or both legs, an uneven gait, or faster fatigue is present.

The purpose of use is to support walking in everyday environments (apartment, walking, stairs), increase safety, and enable a gradual return to functional independence in consultation with a professional (physiotherapist/rehabilitation).

VIGX ANT-H1 PRO Exoskeleton | Free Trial

Motor icon Support mechanism: hip torque (flexion/extension)

The Ant-H1 Pro uses actuators (motors) on both sides that provide synchronized torque for hip flexion and extension. Support in the hip joint is key for stable weight transfer, easier forward leg swing, and a more economical gait pattern.

The system with sensors and processors detects step phases in real-time and adjusts support to the user's movement, aiming for a more natural walking feel and reduced load on the musculoskeletal system.

Transmission icon Two motors = targeted support even for just one leg (left/right)

Since the device has two independent motors, the assistance can be set asymmetrically: only left, only right, or both legs. This is particularly useful in conditions where one side of the body is significantly weaker (e.g., hemiparesis after a stroke), or in cases of uneven stability and differences in muscle strength.

Such a setting allows for more targeted rehabilitation use: it supports the weaker side without overloading the stronger one.

Specs icon Recognition of short or irregular steps

With reduced mobility, the step is often shorter, slower, or uneven. The Ant-H1 Pro is designed to detect even subtle changes in movement and help maintain rhythm, especially when starting to walk, turning, and walking on uneven surfaces.

The goal is greater control and stability during weight transfer and less "dragging" of the leg during the swing.

VIGX ANT-H1 PRO Exoskeleton | Free Trial

Navigation icon 4 operating modes (rehabilitation + everyday use)

The device allows for mode selection based on the functional goal:

  • Assist: more support during slower walking, fatigue, slopes, and stairs.
  • Training: exercise scenarios, including targeted left/right assistance for asymmetrical walking.
  • Standard: balanced support for daily activities.
  • Fitness: additional resistance for controlled strength and endurance training (at the discretion of the user/professional).

Bluetooth icon Support personalization and monitoring via the app

Via Bluetooth connection and the KenqingAssist app (Android/iOS), you can more precisely adjust the level of support, operating mode, and monitor basic activity data (e.g., steps/distance). Settings allow for gradual adjustment of the load based on daily well-being, fatigue, or the rehabilitation plan.

Recommendation: start with lower support and adjust it gradually ("progression"), especially when introducing it after a long period of inactivity.

Specs icon Stable fit: belt system and weight distribution

The belt system is designed for a stable grip in the pelvic area, where force transfer must be most effective. Good stabilization in the waist reduces device "lag" during walking and contributes to more predictable support operation.

Adjustable straps allow for adaptation to different body types and secure placement even during extended use.

VIGX ANT-H1 PRO Exoskeleton | Free Trial

Warranty icon Ultra-light construction (2.4 kg) for less strain

With a weight of approximately 2.4 kg (including battery and pads), the Ant-H1 Pro is suitable for users for whom it is important that additional equipment does not cause extra effort. The carbon fiber and aluminum alloy construction offers a balance between strength and low mass.

Due to the weight distribution around the waist, the load on the limbs is reduced, which is important for those with poor fitness or leg pain.

VIGX ANT-H1 PRO Exoskeleton | Free Trial

Battery icon Battery for therapy and walks: quickly replaceable

The replaceable 46 Wh battery allows for approximately 1–2 hours of use or roughly 8,000–12,000 steps (depending on user weight, terrain, selected mode, and support level). Battery replacement is quick, making the device suitable for longer days or multiple shorter therapy sessions.

Charging time is approximately 1.5 hours; with an additional battery, you can extend the total usage time.

VIGX ANT-H1 PRO Exoskeleton | Free Trial

Brakes icon Safety use, limitations, and environmental conditions

The device is intended to support walking, not to replace basic stability skills. Use is recommended in a safe environment, especially during the first days of introduction (e.g., with support, in the presence of a companion or professional).

It is not suitable for individuals with complete paralysis of the lower limbs or when the user cannot initiate a step. For significant contractures, severe pain, unstable joints, or other serious medical conditions, a doctor's/physiotherapist's assessment is required.

The exoskeleton is dust and splash-resistant (IP56) and operates in a temperature range of -10°C to 45°C.

About VIGX exoskeletons

Behind VIGX exoskeletons stands Shenzhen Kenqing Technology Co., Ltd., a national high-tech enterprise established in 2015, specializing in the development, production, and sale of consumer and industrial exoskeletons. Their work is based on integrating human kinematics, sensory technology, and AI motion intention recognition, with solutions designed for sports and health, mobility assistance for the elderly, and industrial support for physical labor. In 2024, they also obtained a medical device production license and formally expanded into the medical rehabilitation segment.

They draw inspiration from the concept of "Kenqing" (Zhuang Zi) – turning points where power and movement are generated – and believe that technology should support the human, not replace them. In over a decade of development, VIGX products have achieved global reach (more than 100,000 units sold in 30+ countries), are secured by 70+ patents, and supported by international compliances (e.g., UN38.3, MSDS, ISED, CE, FCC).

VIGX summarizes its philosophy in three words: lightweight, intelligent, accessible—underpinning reliability with rigorous testing and international compliance verification (e.g., Certificate No. CTR0001010011). Their solutions are also tested in extreme environments – among other things, they state that their exoskeleton was the first of its kind to conquer Mount Elbrus and complete the "7+2" challenge.

FAQs

Get familiar with frequently asked questions regarding VIGX exoskeletons.

What an exoskeleton is NOT?

An exoskeleton is not a device that walks independently instead of the user. It is not a miracle solution or a medical substitute for the complete loss of walking ability. Its purpose is to support and reinforce existing movement, not to replace voluntary motor function.

VIGX exoskeletons operate using advanced artificial intelligence algorithms that constantly analyze the user's movement. For the system to assist with a step, it must first detect an intention to move. This means the user must initiate at least minimal activation – for example, a slight knee lift, leg movement, or basic muscle tension in the lower limbs. Only upon detecting initiation does the exoskeleton add support and enable easier, more stable, and less tiring walking.

If there is no such initiation, the exoskeleton cannot function. For this reason, the exoskeleton is not suitable for people with complete paralysis of the lower limbs or for conditions where voluntary movement control is lost.

For which conditions and diagnoses is the exoskeleton generally not suitable?

  • Complete paraplegia (complete paralysis of the lower limbs)
  • Tetraplegia / quadriplegia
  • Severe spinal cord injuries without preserved motor function
  • Advanced amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
  • Complete or near-complete muscle atrophy of the lower limbs
  • Advanced forms of multiple sclerosis where there is no active control over the legs
  • Severe forms of cerebral palsy with absent voluntary motor skills
  • Advanced Parkinson's syndrome with pronounced movement freezing and loss of control
  • Severe forms of muscular dystrophy
  • Untreated or unstable orthopedic deformities of the lower limbs
  • Complete loss of proprioception (sense of body position)
  • Severe spasticity or uncontrolled reflex spasms
  • Acute neurological conditions (e.g., recent stroke without rehabilitation)
  • Unstable conditions following severe pelvic or hip injuries
  • Inability to follow basic instructions (e.g., due to severe cognitive impairments)

If there is doubt regarding suitability, a consultation with a doctor, physiotherapist, or rehabilitation specialist is always recommended.

Is the ANT-H1 PRO a medical device?

No. The ANT-H1 PRO is currently not registered as a medical device, but it is an advanced walking support device intended to improve mobility and stability. It does not replace medical treatment but can be significant support during rehabilitation and daily movement.

Can I use the exoskeleton without prior experience?

Yes. Exoskeletons are designed to be user-friendly. Upon first startup, an introduction or short adaptation is recommended, after which usage is simple and intuitive.

How do I know if I am a suitable candidate for an exoskeleton?

If you have preserved at least minimal lower limb movement ability (e.g., knee lift or leg movement) and want to improve walking, stability, or reduce fatigue, you are very likely a suitable candidate. In case of doubt, we recommend a professional consultation.

Is the exoskeleton suitable for the elderly?

Yes, provided the user still has preserved basic walking ability. The exoskeleton can help the elderly with greater stability, reduced fatigue, and maintaining independence.

How long does it take to get used to using the exoskeleton?

Most users get used to basic usage within a few minutes to a few hours, while full adaptation usually occurs after a few days of regular use.

Can I use the exoskeleton for sports or recreation?

It depends on the model. Some exoskeletons are intended for rehabilitation and walking assistance, while others are suitable for recreation, long walks, sports, and improving physical performance.

Is the exoskeleton safe to use?

Yes, with correct usage and appropriate model and size selection. Exoskeletons have built-in safety mechanisms and smart algorithms that adapt assistance based on the user's movement.

Who is the ANT-H1 PRO for?

The ANT-H1 PRO is intended for people who can still walk (minimally) but have issues with pain, instability, or weakness in one or both legs. It is also often used by users in rehabilitation after injuries or stroke.

Can a person with complete leg paralysis use the ANT-H1 PRO?

No. The ANT-H1 PRO requires at least minimal movement initiation (e.g., slight knee lift). With complete paralysis, the exoskeleton cannot detect the intention to step and therefore cannot assist.

I only have trouble walking with one leg. Which exoskeleton do you recommend?

ANT-H1 PRO is especially suitable for users who have problems primarily with one leg (e.g., after a stroke or injury).

Who is the VIGX π Plus for?

π Plus is intended for active users without serious walking issues who want to walk farther, faster, or with less fatigue.

Does the π Plus help with weight loss?

Indirectly, yes. Because it enables longer and less tiring activity, it can contribute to more movement and consequently weight loss.

Can I use the π Plus every day?

Yes. It is designed for regular, daily use, even during prolonged activities.

Is the π Plus suitable for rehabilitation?

Not primarily. The π Plus is not a rehabilitation exoskeleton, but an exoskeleton for physical performance support, recreation, and an active lifestyle.
