Kaluu City Box is designed for locations where space is limited and security is crucial. It is ideal for city centers, in front of residential blocks, at P+R points, and near railway stations. It provides complete protection for the bike against weather conditions and theft, which is key to encouraging the use of more expensive electric bikes in everyday traffic.

Connectivity and the Kaluu app

The user experience is simplified using the mobile Kaluu app. Cyclists can find the nearest available station, reserve a spot, and unlock the locker with their smartphone. The system allows real-time monitoring of active rentals, eliminating the need for a physical manager's presence or the use of clumsy padlocks.

Modular construction and durability

The City Box features an exceptionally strong construction made of stainless steel and aluminum, which prevents forced entry. The modular design allows for row installations tailored to the available space. A green roof version (planting) is even possible, allowing for aesthetic integration into green areas and parks. The door opens to the right, facilitating access.

Charging electric bikes

With the increasing number of electric bikes, the option to charge has become a necessity. The City Box is equipped with a socket (230V, 10A), allowing for safe charging of the bike's battery while it is locked. This is especially important for cyclists commuting longer distances to work or public transport.

What are the site preparation requirements before installation?

For safe and stable installation of Scooter Box or City Box units, a solid and level surface is required—ideally a concrete slab or asphalt. The products are freestanding, but for safety and stability they are anchored to the ground using the supplied M10 anchor bolts. If the location does not yet have a suitable base, our team can advise you on the necessary construction pre-preparations.

Is a connection to the electrical grid required for operation?

An electrical connection is required if you want to use the charging function for e-bikes or e-scooters (built-in 230V sockets) and for operating the smart electronic lock. The requirements are standard (230V, 10A). If it is not possible to provide electrical wiring at the location, please contact us to discuss battery-powered lock options or solar solutions (where available).

How does access management work? Can we use existing employee cards?

The primary access method is via the Kaluu mobile app, which allows users to view available spaces, make reservations, and unlock units. For business users and restricted areas, the system also supports integration with RFID readers. This means your employees can use their existing company time-tracking cards for access, simplifying both usage and administration.

Are the lockers resistant to vandalism and weather conditions?

Yes. Both units are specifically designed for public and outdoor use. The construction from stainless steel, aluminum, and galvanized steel sheet provides high resistance to corrosion. The surface is protected with high-quality powder coating that is UV- and scratch-resistant. Robust doors and concealed hinges further deter forced entry attempts.

Can the lockers be customized to match our corporate visual identity?

How are the products delivered, and who handles installation?

Products are typically delivered disassembled (flat-pack) for easier and more cost-effective transport, unless otherwise agreed. On-site installation is not included in the base product price. You may choose installation by our professional team (turnkey service) or perform the installation yourself using the supplied technical instructions.
