The original 42 V / 1.7 A charger uses a round 8 mm connector.

The Segway charger has a 42 V / 1.7 A output and a round charging connector. The black rectangular housing has a fixed output cable and a separate cable for connection to a European mains socket.

Using and inspecting the charger

• Before connecting, check that the socket is dry and the cable is undamaged. Do not force the plug; follow the connection sequence in the vehicle manual.
• Keep the charger on a dry, ventilated surface during charging and do not cover it. Disconnect it as instructed once charging is complete.
• If the battery does not accept a charge, also inspect the socket and wiring. Replacing the charger will not repair a faulty battery; stop using a damaged unit.
