Why Is My Electric Scooter Battery Not Working?

Does your scooter no longer turn on or have a much shorter range than when it was new?

Common causes of battery malfunctions include:

  • Prolonged non-use or improper storage of the battery
  • Overloading the scooter or battery
  • Short circuit or water damage
  • Faulty BMS (Battery Management System)
  • Use of an incorrect charger
  • Physical damage from a fall
  • Cold weather

If your scooter doesn’t turn on, the battery might not be the only issue—other components could be affected, and the battery may have only a partial fault. We offer professional fault diagnosis and battery health testing to identify the actual issue and recommend the most cost-effective solution. Certain batteries can also be refurbished through our authorized partner.

Note: In cold weather, battery range can drop by up to 40 %, resulting in shorter ride times. This is normal, and range will improve as temperatures rise.

How to Store an Electric Scooter Battery in Winter

For a long battery life, keep it active. If you won’t use your scooter for an extended period, charge the battery for at least 15 minutes once a month—discharging isn’t necessary. Li-ion batteries are least stable while charging or when fully charged. For storage, maintain a charge level between 40 % and 60 % capacity. At this level, batteries remain safe and undamaged. If they drop below 20 % charge, long-term capacity loss can occur.

Service Information

For proper replacement of the BMS or any battery inspection, please contact your nearest service center in our network. A regular service check is recommended at least once a year, or immediately if any irregularities appear. This ensures safe riding and a long lifespan for your scooter.

Can I test a product before making a purchase?

Yes, absolutely! You're welcome to visit our showroom at Tržaška cesta 222, 1000 Ljubljana, where you can test selected products in person. We’re open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 19:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 16:00. Please note that we’re closed on Sundays and public holidays.

To ensure the product you'd like to test is available, we kindly ask that you call us in advance. This way, we can confirm availability and prepare everything for your visit.

Where do you ship to?

European Union (EU)

We currently offer shipping within Slovenia and to all European Union (EU) member countries, with the exception of Malta, Cyprus, the Åland Islands, the Greek Islands, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Sicily, and Sardinia.

Please note that shipping to Croatian islands is only available for products weighing less than 31.5 kg.

International Shipping (Non-EU)

International shipping is also available to select non-EU countries including the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and others.

What is your delivery time?

Order Processing Time: Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after your order confirmation email is received.

Standard Shipping Times:

  • Delivery within Slovenia generally takes 2-7 business days after processing and dispatch.
  • Delivery outside Slovenia but within the EU generally takes 5-10 business days after processing and dispatch.
  • Delivery outside the EU generally takes 7-14 business days after processing and dispatch.

Please note that delivery times are estimates and may be affected by factors outside of our control, such as holidays, high order volumes, or unforeseen logistical issues. We will notify you promptly via email if there are significant delays.

What is the shipping cost?

  • For deliveries within the European Union (EU), shipping costs vary depending on the country of origin, destination, and package weight. The applicable shipping fees will be calculated and displayed during checkout, prior to completing your order.
  • For deliveries outside the EU, shipping costs are calculated individually upon request and are not displayed at checkout. To receive a shipping quote for non-EU countries, please contact us via email.

What's the return policy?

You have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods. To do so, send us an Email with a clear written notice.

Return Shipping

The customer bears the direct cost of return. We will deduct either (a) the actual carrier cost applicable at the time you initiate the return, or (b) the applicable amount from the return cost table (whichever is lower).

Condition of Goods
You may inspect the product as in a physical store. Any use beyond this may result in a reduction of the refund to reflect diminished value.

Refunds
We will refund all eligible payments, including standard delivery fees, within 14 days of receiving the return product, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
