Choosing a high-quality, suitable tire is crucial for safe riding and maximizing the performance of your e-scooter.

Preventing flat tires

The most common cause of "flat tires" is riding with incorrect inner tube pressure. Most electric scooters require at least 3.5 bar, which should be checked regularly with a pressure gauge – ideally once a week.

Riding with inadequate inner tube pressure can cause:

• Damage and punctures to the inner tube
• Tire wear from both the inside and outside
• Poor grip and increased risk of slipping
• Longer braking distances
• Poor riding characteristics

Service information

The tire should be replaced as soon as you notice signs of poor riding characteristics, reduced grip, vibration, or visible wear. With normal use, replacement is recommended every 1,000 – 2,000 km.

Visible signs of tire wear that require replacement

Outside: Flattened tread, burn marks or holes. Regular riding causes normal wear; tricks or aggressive braking accelerate it.
Inside: Displacement of the bead wire structure, often due to riding with inadequate tire pressure.

Unprofessional replacement of inner tubes or tires can cause:

• Damage to the motor cable
• Damage to the motor frame
• Sharp cuts on the rim
• Damage to the tire and new inner tube

If your electric scooter has a "flat tire" or a worn tire, it is necessary to check the condition of both the inner tube and the tire when replacing, as incorrect pressure often damages both. In a scooter with a damaged tire, a new inner tube will have a very limited lifespan.
